The Root source distribution includes effectively something that
we have not yet announced, namely the TGenerator and TVenus classes.
TGenerator is a general class to build interfaces to event generators.
These event generators have in general been written in Fortran.
TGenerator includes functions to make standard interfaces
to these packages. TVenus is a class derived from TGenerator
with an implementation specific to the Venus package from Klaus Werner.
TVenus currently supports Venus5.12, a version not yet released
by the author. We also have in preparation a class TFritiof and
TPythia. The superclass TGenerator includes functions to get info
from the original generator, to write the event in a Root file
with the complete history and also the possibility to draw
one event.

and the instructions to use it.
