Hmmm. I think you misunderstood me. I just told ROOT is too young
and the ROOT team is too small and the ROOT itself is a "free
software". The last term means the users of the "free software" are
welcome to joint their efforts to improve the system all together.

(see http://root.cern.ch/root/Publications.html

" . . .
Papers NOT by the ROOT team, but related in spirit.

- The "Bazaar" software development process we try to follow:
- The Cathedral and the Bazaar by Eric S. Raymond
(http://sagan.earthspace.net/~esr/writings/cathedral-bazaar/)

. . ."

No doubt that feature is extremely useful and ROOT did provide the
WAY to solve it. Now for ALL ROOT classes (about 300) that method
must be written. (Well there is another way. ROOT team will hire a
few persons to write these methods but this way ROOT will be not
"Free" anymore.)

May be you did find this feature useful quite enough to find it
is worth to spend very your time to supply a few SavePrimitive
methods for a few ROOT classes and this way improve ROOT.
