Garfield++ on MacOS X

You can get the source files and compilation instruction from the Garfield++ Home Page. If you just want to use a precompiled binary package, do

# apt-get update # apt-get install garfieldpp # apt-get clean

By default garfield++ will be installed under /opt/garfpp/garfieldpp-<version>. To use "garfroot", which is a root interface to Garfield++, first source the setup file and then invoke the "garfroot" command as follows:

$ . /opt/garfpp/garfieldpp-⁢version>/bin/thisgarpp.sh $ garfroot
