[2] CDC R&D Status (pretalks for the JPS autumn meeting)

[2-1] Lorentz Angle Measurement (Hoshina)
   	
   K.Hoshina summarized the analysis of the Lorentz angle data
   taken in July for possible gas mixtures for the JLC CDC.
   Since the maximum magnetic field available with USHIWAKA
   at KEK was 1.5T, an extrapolation to 2T was necessary.
   The extrapolated value is
   	tan alpha = 0.171 +/- 0.010 (preliminary)
   whose implication in the cell design will be investigated
   in the future.


[2-2] Two-Track Separation (Kuroiwa)

   H.Kuroiwa outlined his planned talk at the JPS meeting.
   It was shown that there are some extra hits following 
   the first hit even in single track data.
   He discussed possible origins of these extra hits and
   ways to eliminate them in two-track data.
