Selection of events

In a macro, I want to select some events in a loop. The cuts are rather
complicated and I have defined TCuts. But I can't use those in an "if..."
statement as I would like to.
I tried TeventList but Select is not defined for Chains, what I need.

Is there a simple way to do that ?

If not, I'll copy my cuts in the if statement but it's not very elegant
and rather prone to errors...
