How to define a 3 Tesla Detector
Standard detector configuration in jsf and quick simulator is for 2 Tesla
solenoid field. Instruction to run jsf and quick simulator
for 3 Tesla solenoid field detector is as follows.
In the jsf.conf file, include following statement.
JSFQuickSim.ParameterFile: jlc3T.com
JSFEventDisplay.ViewRange2: -200.0 -200.0 -200.0 200.0 200.0 200.0
JSFQuickSim.CMBCUT.ENSGHD: 1.0
-
jlc3T.com is a file to define detector configuration.
Standard parameter set are included in
lclib-2000-1 release or later
in the directory simjlc/param.
-
A JSFEventDisplay.ViewRange2 parameter is to define the size of view
for event display. The meaning of 6 numbers are, xmin,
ymin, zmin, xmax, ymax, zmax in unit of
cm. These values are used to define rough size of detector.
You may choose larger ( smaller ) value to see away ( closer ) view.
-
JSFQuickSim.CMBCUT.ENSGHD is a parameter used to track
and cluster matching. The default value in the case of 2 Tesla solenoid was 2.0
(see
Important Note in
a writeup New Combined Track Bank .)
But according to my study, 1.0 seems to be better in the case of 3 Tesla solenoid
detector ( see
Parameter tuning using Higgs process ).
But the optimum value is process dependant. Please find out best
value by your self.
