5.5 Muon Detector R&Ds
Requirements
- Position resolution order of 1cm.
- Capability of hadron-shower tail catcher prefered.
- Timing measurement to veto cosmics. Bunch-ID may not be needed.
- Reasonable cost.
Possible Candidates ; Muon detectors for B-factories or LHC are good candidates.
- Resistive-plate chambers
- Thin-gap chambers
- Plastic-scintillator panels/bars
