Getting Started with JLCSIM/JIM

JLCSIM Distribution Package

The "JLCSIM" package distributed on this page includes the following components:

• "JIM", full detector simulation program,
• "ZBS" (ZEBRA Bank System) library for memory managemet
• Some utility libraries necessary for "JIM" program
• Utitlity programs which can be used for analyizing events generated by "JIM"

What is JIM?

"JIM" is "Full Detector Simulation Program for the JLC physics analysis", which is based on the description of the JLC green report. At present, "JIM" can simulate the following detector components.

• Si vertex detector
• Central tracker
• Barrel calorimeter
• End-cap calorimeter
• Muon detectors
• Beam profile monitor
• Materials around interaction region
• Solenoidal magnet
• Luminosity monitor
• Active mask
• Intermediate tracker
