[1-1] HP-UX OS Upgrade (A.Miyamoto)

   Network security is one of the biggest problems these days.
   Since HP-UX 10.10, our current OS for jlcux's, does not allow
   shadow passwords under CDE, it is necessary to upgrade to
   HP-UX 10.20. The upgrading will be carried out by the end of
   this year.

[2] CDC R&D Status (Y.Kato)

   Y.Kato from Kinki University reported on the status of wire
   tension measurements. He set up a test stand there and started
   preliminary measurements in July.
   So far 3 measurements have been done:
   	July 14 --> Sep.19 --> Oct.22
   A quick initial tension drop was observed as with the 4.6m
   chamber. Since then the tension drop becomes slower but is
   still too early to draw any conclusion.
