How to edit CAMAC configuration file
If any connections between CAMAC modules and detector modules are
changed, you have to change "CAMAC configuration file":
e912ftp.fnal.gov:/t912/conf/conf-camac.vnnnn
for "ASCII->Ntuple conversion.
Here "nnnn" denotes a version number of the configuration file.
- First you should know:
- which detector module and which channel you want to change, and
- from which run, this change should be applied.
- If your PATH includes /t912/bt/bin, then just type:
edit-conf
command. If not,
/t912/bt/bin/edit-conf
instead.
- After some messages which show new version number, "emacs" will be activated.
- Here, you can edit configuration file as you want, and terminate "emacs."
- You will be asked for a run number, from which this file should be applied.
- btconv will automatically use this new file afterwards, hopefully, according to a "run number - version number" database.
For conversions of old runs, configuration files in older versions are stil used.
