Subject:
ground vibration measurements in Japan

Dear colleagues,

@

for about two years Wilhelm Bialowons and I are working on ground vibration investigations for comparison of possible linear collider sites. During this time we collected a lot of seismic data at different accelerator laboratories (DESY, CERN, SLAC, FNAL, ESRF, APS) and some reference locations to study the differences in cultural noise behavior. Now we would like to take data also in Japan. (In the moment, DESY is able to spend some money for this purpose.) We would like to use two of our broadband seismometers (Güralp CMG-3T) to take some data at different places at KEK (i.e. ATF), at one or more of the proposed Japanese LC sites and at Spring-8.

Is it possible to visit KEK in April (i.e. from 8th Apr to 27th Apr)?

@

Best regards,

Heiko Ehrlichmann, DESY-MPE
