About ILC project

The ILC project is to construct an electron-positron linear collider and explore particle physics at TeV energy region. The head-on collisions among particles will create extream high energy states that could happen in the early very hot universe. The GLC project will bring us to a deeper understanding of nature and possibly open up a way to uncover the secrets of the creation and evolution of our universe.
In Japan, this project was called "JLC Project" (later renamed to "GLC Project" on the occasion of a publication of "GLC Road Map Report"). In August 2004, however, International Technology Recomendation Panel (ITRP) made a decision of unification of the basic technology of the accelerator for linear collider. Following this decision, we are working for realization of the International Linear Collider (ILC).
